The Restaurant

The restaurant within The Bull’s Head at Foolow offers a fine dining experience within a warm and relaxed atmosphere. With its oak panelled walls, beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace, the restaurant retains the traditional and welcoming ambience of the rest of the Inn, yet with its extensive and diverse menu offers a quality of cuisine that sets The Bull’s Head a cut above the average country pub.
The specials menu presents a feast of delights to suit all tastes, and includes such dishes as Ostrich Steak with Brandied Gravy, Scottish Salmon Fillet with Tomato Salsa, Mediterranean Vegetable Hotpot, and Duck and Mango Salad with a Lime and Honey dressing.  A wide variety of bar snacks are also available, ranging from the customary Steak, Ale and Mushroom Pie to daily local specials such as Rabbit and Prune Casserole or Braised Oxtail in Guinness. All of these meals may be enjoyed either in the candlelit restaurant, in the cosy bar area, or in the ‘stable’ eating quarter depending on the customers’ preference, and fully detailed menus are available within the ‘Menu of the Week’ category (accessed through the navigation bar to the left of this page).
The Bull’s Head also offers a Senior Citizens’ Weekday Lunch Menu (details of which can be found under the Menu of the Week at £8.25, and a ‘Walker’s Special’ lunchtime offer of a hearty bowl of soup, fresh sandwich and bowl of chips, all for just £8.25 – and don’t worry, muddied hiking books and wobbly legs are not a prerequisite! For the meat lovers amongst you, Tuesday nights see a 2 for 1 offer on rump steak, whilst Wednesdays allow diners to choose a chicken dish from a range of five for just £11.95 per couple.
Seasonal menus are also aplenty, with New Year , Christmas Day and Party offerings available.

Due to the excellent reputation of the Bull’s Head at Foolow based on the quality of food and service, the restaurant is incredibly popular, and thus – whilst not always necessary – booking in advance is advisable in order to avoid disappointment.
